Innovative drilling technology with BruDrill in tight spaces
With its first successful project in Belgium, separatus is celebrating a strong market entry. Together with our official drilling partner BruDrill, a complex installation was realized in an urban area, under the most confined conditions and with impressive precision.
Special feature: A borehole was drilled directly from the street through a basement window. The BruDrill team mastered this challenge with flying colors. A compact drilling rig and a drill diameter of just 90 millimeters made this project possible.
This solution creates new possibilities for the energy-efficient renovation of terraced houses in densely built-up areas. Boreholes can be drilled directly from the street or through existing building structures. Complex excavation work in the garden is eliminated, and the probes can be connected to the circuit directly in the house.
Further highlights of the project:
- Two oblique boreholes through a garage opening, completely within the property boundaries
- Supply of a mini-heating network with three apartments and a single-family house
- First installation of separatus probes in Belgium – compact, powerful and ideal for urban applications
- Delivery and logistics of the probes and components by our sales partner Jeroen van der Meijden (Geothermica, NL)
We are proud to have BruDrill as our official separatus drilling partner in Belgium and look forward to many more joint projects that demonstrate what modern geothermal energy can achieve today – even in the smallest of spaces.
